Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Bhubaneswar — Temple City Tour

Arrive at Bhubaneswar Airport or Railway Station. Transfer to hotel. Afternoon visit to Lingaraj Temple, Mukteshwar Temple, Rajarani Temple and Odisha State Museum. Overnight stay in Bhubaneswar.

Day 2

Bhubaneswar to Puri — Jagannath Temple Darshan

After breakfast, drive to Puri (approx. 1.5 hours). Check-in to hotel. Afternoon darshan at the sacred Jagannath Temple — one of the Char Dhams of India. Evening walk on Puri sea beach and Golden Beach. Overnight stay in Puri.

Day 3

Konark Sun Temple and Chilika Lake

Morning excursion to Konark Sun Temple (UNESCO World Heritage Site) — a 13th century masterpiece of Kalinga architecture. Afternoon visit to Chilika Lake — Asia's largest brackish water lagoon, famous for Irrawaddy dolphins and migratory birds. Overnight stay in Puri.

Day 4

Puri — Leisure and Raghurajpur Village

Morning second darshan at Jagannath Temple. Visit Raghurajpur heritage artisan village — famous for Pattachitra paintings and traditional Odisha crafts. Afternoon beach leisure. Overnight stay in Puri.

Day 5

Puri to Bhubaneswar — Departure

After breakfast, check-out and drive to Bhubaneswar (approx. 1.5 hours). Transfer to Bhubaneswar Airport or Railway Station. Tour concludes with blessings from Lord Jagannath.

Frequently Asked Questions

The main Jagannath Temple in Puri does not permit non-Hindu visitors inside. However, the temple can be viewed from Raghunandan Library rooftop nearby. All other heritage sites are open to everyone.

October to March is ideal with pleasant coastal weather. Avoid the peak monsoon (July–August) as rains can impact sightseeing and beach visits.

Rath Yatra (June/July) is the biggest festival in Puri. We offer special Rath Yatra packages during the festival period. Contact us to enquire about specific dates and availability.
